ANA BENUE VISITS DG BTV, DR. PATIENCE ACHAKPA IKYOR.

Members of the Association of Nigerian Authors, Benue State Chapter paid an advocacy visit to the DG Benue Television and her Management. The Association led by its Chair, Onwanyi Ulegede, asked for more partnership with the TV station saying the creative industry in the state had the capacity to feed the media with drama, poetry and folktales among other genres to promote our culture and values as Nigerians and Africans. She also called for support by way of book donations, shelves and tables for the Association's Adopt a Community School Reading and Library Project and the Yusuf Ali Reading Campaign which are coming up soon. The DG, who is also a member of the Association, praised the effort of the Association in bringing creative writers together, organising activities to promote and improving reading among young minds and pledged to partner with it on all fronts stressing that ANA indeed has what her organisation needs. The Association’s Members, Mr. Igba Ogbole and Mr. Sam Ogabidu took turns to encourage the collaboration and to intimate her of its coming State Convention and called for support which she gladly obliged.
